e-Health/Tele Health Conference
The offering of any type of health services to the entire society through information technologies by using electronic methods and devices represents a corner stone on the way to become an information society. This system, which we call e-health, does not only cover Internet applications but also any type of ICT service giving versatile support for the precaution, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and control of the disease. The basic purpose of e-health services is defined as the prevention of diseases instead of treatment, focussing on the patient instead of the institution, information sharing between companies and cooperation. The development of the technology has enabled the expansion of tele-medicine and tele-health services, so that individuals can now access health services from afar. The e-health/Tele Health Conference will discuss the existing situation, projects, examples, legal regulations and aims in a wide rage starting from the e-health policies to integrated individual health services.
