Every day, the importance of the telecom industry in the world and in Turkey is growing. Countries with poor telecom infrastructure have fallen behind in their economies and could not catch the political stability. However, information, the most important thing of the world can now be reached and shared through information technologies.
Infrastructure investments, which have been started especially after the 80s, have paved the way for Turkey's globalisation. Although there have been interruptions in investments, which had to be made into the telecom industry, the point reached today, due its structure open to new technologies, draws the attention of the world.
A platform has been established to discuss the growing opportunities at the emerging telecom market in Turkey, new expansions and added value services. At Bilisim Zirvesi ’08, the Future at Telecom Conference will be realized with the support of Telecommunications Authority and TUTED (Association of Telecommunications Businessmen). Recent technological developments in telecommunications, constituting the fundamental structure of an information society and being a strategic industry with an own economical value, will be reinvented at Bilisim Zirvesi ’08 in-depth from different dimensions such as the development of the telecom market, exemplary applications and regulations.
