Alpaslan Özlü - Assistant General Manager of Akbank in charge of Information Technologies Alpaslan Ozlu is among the most succesful 14 Turkish leaders according to a research called `The Successful Technology Executives in Turkey, 2008` carried out by Forrester Research with which the best information technology leaders of Turkey in 2008 are determined. He graduated in 1980 from the Department of Computer Engineering with a master degree from Middle Technical University. He started his career in 1982 at Pamukbank. Ozlu worked as IT Manager in 1987 at Egebank, in 1988 as Head of the IT Department at Turk Ekonomi Bankasi and as Assistant General Director responsible of applications and as General Director at Bilpa, the technology company of Yapi Kredi Bankasi in 1991. During the years 2000-2004, Ozlu continued his duties at the Yapi Kredi Bankasi as the Assistant General Director of the bank. As of 2006, he has started his duty as Assistant General Director in charge of information technologies at Akbank, where he is still employed.
