11 Ekim 2008, Saturday / BÜYÜKADA HALL / 14.00 - 16.00 Sharing of Geospecial Information Geographic Information Systems   Satellite images that are used in the scope of Geographic Information Techonologies (Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Global Positioning, Digital Photogrammetry and web based applications) meet the needs of many sectors such as agriculture, mining, forestry, transportation, geology, energy effectively and shortly with optimum results. Earth imagery taken by observation satellites can prevent the waste of resources from agriculture to industry, from investment to inspection. Measuring the damage caused by the natural disasters such as forest fires, mine inquiries, floods and earthquakes, inspecting the unauthorized constructions, better management of the city traffic and observing the constructional situation of the city are some of the fields where satellite images are benefited from. In this panel, national activities and several perspectives and point of views towards Geographic Information Systems are going to be held.
